sway bars

Sold my TC and am looking at a 19ft TT. I have a 2009 GMC 2500 HD to tow with. I am not as strong as I used to be and would need some easy to use sway bars. Any suggestions.

I suspect also you're confusing friction sway bars with weight distribution spring bars as there's no effort involved at all in attaching a sway bar. You also certainly wouldn't need more than one sway bar with a trailer of the size you're talking about, in fact many of don't use any at all even though we may be using weight distribution. It would be helpful if you could clarify just what it is you're asking about - sway control or WD spring bars.

You probably don't need 'em. Try without. But also get the electric tongue jack regardless.

Just to clarify, you are asking about the weight distribution spring bars, not the friction sway bars to prevent sway, right?

Thank you for your answers. I am looking at a Micro Minnie 1808FBS with one slide out. I like that it has duel axels.

and I'll third the suggestion. For a 19ft trailer you probably won't need much force to transfer the needed weight and a electric tongue jack should make it quite easy to put the spring bars on.

I have a 14ft cargo sport trailer, about 6K lbs with 600lb bars. with the electric jack I could jack it up enough to attach the bars w/o using the "cheater" bar. Usually don't jack it that much but I could.

Depending on tongue weight you might not need a WD hitch.

Ya probably do not need sway bars for a trailer that small , I pull a 21 foot with a Ram 2500 , no sway or sway bars .

Attaching bars to the hitch is easier on some. Mine bars go “up and into.” The “down and into” are easier.
