We need to purchase towing mirrors for our Jeep Liberty. Has anyone purchased some they could recommend? Is it best to have the dual view type that shows your blind spot? Thanks

I am another of the anti McKeesh mirrors. I too ended up with paint damage, they are big and a pain in the keester to stow. If you start out towing in dry weather and it starts to rain the strap stretches when wet and the mirror gets loose requiring you to stop in the rain and re-tighten them.

I bought these for my F 150.

They are solid & don't vibrate. The one I don't care for, and I expect this might be the same for all aftermarket mirrors, is that I have 5 different magnifications on my mirrors.

It drives me nuts sometimes, but I'll admit, it's a short trip.

I bought a set at Walmart because I needed them in a hurry. They strap on and work fine.

i use Grand Aero mirrors on my jeep liberty. not the cheapest, though I got them used at a pretty good price. I'm happy with them. I'd like something a little more stream lined/form fitting, as these are kind of on the ugly side, but they get the job done and make lane changes safer.

I'll be the contrary voice concerning the McKesh mirrors. I drank the kool-aid on them when I first got into RV'ing 17 years ago. There were two issues that I didn't like, and those led me to stop using them and eventually to sell them. Issue #1 - they create enormous blind spots. Or at least they did in the tow vehicle I was using. Every time I was making a turn in an intersection (right OR left) they completely blocked my vision of what was in the lane I was turning into. I had to crane my neck up and down and right and left to see around them. Issue #2 - they have rubber pads that press hard against the paint on your doors. If you have any grit or dirt on the door or on the pad when you install them, that grit will be ground into the paint on your door and you'll have a permanent reminder of your mirrors. I was meticulous about cleaning both the door and the pads every time I used them, but that gets old.

The nice thing about them is that, because of their great reputation, I was able to get a pretty good price for them when I sold them.

I have also used the Cipa brand slip over the stock mirror style. They make each style for your mirror so the fit is good and the mirror stays on solidly. I heard lots of great things from users of the MeKesh brand. I strayed away from them due to price and complexity. I was happy with the cipas and would buy again.

Different model years (different generations) have different mirrors.

What year is your Liberty?

We have had two sets of Cipa mirrors and like them way better than some other strap on mirrors I have tried. http://www.cipausa.com/
