Have 08 Silverado that stil runs like a dream, but then I dont race or let it overheat and change all fluids at recomended intervals.
If that was in my budget. It is not.
I sort of thought the same thing when I was buying. But at $42-$45K I was only 10K away from brand new with zero miles, better financing and 100% warranty.
Look closer at the numbers, consider something less than Denali and platinum packages and new is a viable option.
I purchased new in 2019 and found better new deals than used.
While I like all the bells , whistles and creature comforts AI found a LTZ to be a better value than High Country.
Don't be afraid to travel to a high volume dealer that promotes trucks they are out there!

Dodge=Ram. Just because they put another name on it doesn't change who makes it
Actually 2013 is when it became OFFICIALLY "RAM".
We were both wrong:
2010
In 2009, the Chrysler Group restructured the Dodge brand. Cars and minivans went under the Dodge nameplate, while its trucks, the Dodge Ram and Dodge Dakota, became Ram trucks. Since the 2010 model year, Ram has been a separate part of the same company that focuses solely on trucks.

I don't see the need for a 4X4 but I have owned both the Ford and the Chev DRW diesels and have had no trouble with the Ford I have now with 167,000mi on it. Last Chev blew a head gasket at 120,000mi. Other than that the Ford pulls and rides much better I think.
