Not really much of a trip report as it is some pics of a day at the beach. I've drive my Jeep on the beaches of the Outer Banks for years and years, wasn't sure how the truck and camper would fare. Turns out it did extremely well. No problems whatsoever. Aired down to 45 in the back and 32 in the front. It was a beach day with our neighbors. They don't have a 4x4 :E so they drove my Jeep and a small trailer. We also had our former exchange student from Switzerland visiting us, and she really enjoyed the experience. We've become lifelong friends for sure.
A stop to stretch the legs on the way there. Mounted the Big Green Egg minimax on the Torklift Lock and Load. Designed to carry a generator but carried the egg perfectly. I never did use the generator so I sold it.
Made it to the spot we called ours for the rest of the day

Some of them went for a drive over the dunes to see some of the wild horses.
By this time I had drank a lot of rum and not enough water, tried to photobomb but got photobomb'd while doing the bombing. Some fun boogie boarding. And the DW took the reigns and drove the rig out. First time she drove it, and on the sand nonetheless.
Had a nice sunset view on the drive out. Neighbors thought we were going to tip over, but not even close. Must look precarious on the sand or something.
I sure will, this is exactly what the wife and I were talking about tonight. The week prior we drove up to NYC for a few days up US-13 and saw all the signage for Assateague.
Now you need to come up North to Assateague Island, MD, you will be in TC paradise out on the beach, during the summer there is at least 20-30 TC's out there. Spending the night out on the beach in a TC with the family and a bonfire is an experience not easily replicated with the crashing of the waves in the background as you fall asleep.
Let me know if you head up this way.

So far, so good. But it's only been back a couple months. I'm hopeful...Placed an order for a cover and intend to use this thing no matter what since I bought it...might as well get as much use out of it as possible and fix as needed until it can't be fixed anymore.
Nice pictures that you took, Keith. Looks like everyone had fun on their day trip to the beach. Thanks for sharing. Are you still having issues with the camper or is it all fixed up now?

Neither did I, until now. Keep finding more and more uses for this thing. The women enjoyed having a potty and I enjoyed having a fridge. Although it was more than just a day, we did spend that night in it while parked in the driveway of the 2 bedroom cottage. I just focused on how we used it for a day on the beach.
I guess I had never thought of the TC as "day-trip" vehicle. Good idea though. One of the people that came up to see ours this weekend was looking for something to tailgate at WVU games in. Handy to have the bathroom right there!
Great pictures

About the only thing to note is all day long people kept coming over wanting to see and ask about the TC and mention how crazy I must be to have driven it out there.
