Hi Terry, this is the same trailer as the Jay Flight 24FBS, its about my first choice as well, I am kinda scared of delamination issues on fiberglass trailers. I have been given a quote for a loaded optioned 2015 24FBS at a dealer of $17.5 out the door. And another quote, which you can get as well, from RVone.com for a base 2015 model 24FBS at $15,620 shipped to Iowa(or around $17000 loaded up with popular options like the thermal pack, elite pack, shiny rims, etc). It is a great layout, I wish I could find one used in good condition. But I would expect a discount from the above prices of about 18% for a 2014, or about 30% off for a 2013. So don't let those greedy snakes get more than $13k for it. Good luck, I'm having a heck of a time finding anything decent and used this time of year in MN.

We sell Starcraft. I really like the quality. The only problem I see with the one you are considering is the factory warranty is about to expire now. The price is not that much cheaper than a new unit. Other than that. It sounds like a deal.

I am personally familiar with two starcraft models, one a 2013 and one a 2014 model. Both have average to above average fit and finish. They also have a two year warranty staring in late 2013 (I believe).

Pretty well built trailers. As far as price, I think you could probably get them down a bit more.

I have an Autumn Ridge 289BHS and I have been very happy with it. The construction is good, and the fit and finish is good as well. I love the fresh water tank at 68 gallons, that is a nice plus when you don't have water hook ups.

We have a 2013 starcraft Travel Star tt. and have been very happy with it. In comparing brands prior to purchase, the Starcraft just seemed better constructed. We did have a couple warranty repairs and Starcraft was outstanding to deal with. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I think the msrp on a new 2015 is about 25,000 so if i calculate 25-30 percent off that , you could probably purchase new for about 18,000. Figure what 2 years old and used is worth from there.

Starcraft and Jayco are owned by the same company and in recent years, the Jayco products seem to be much more dominant in the market. But, Starcraft makes a decent product, and years ago (1991??), they were very helpful in taking care of a axle problem with our Starflyer pop-up that had to be replaced while we were traveling, and authorized repairs to be made at a non-Starcraft dealer. If you do a search, you'll see that the price is in range of what you see on line, and they are advertised as low as $20,000 new. I would think that you could get the price lowered a bit, and it also depends on the condition of the trailer i.e. is it "mint" or showing signs of heavy use.

For a 27' trailer, it's got a nice design, especially having a small couch as well as a dinette, and they certainly didn't skimp on cabinets. I'm impressed that they have the slide out drawers as part of the dinette, the laundry basket door opening under the bed, and even a storage area under the couch. By comparison, I like the outdoor kitchen, corner shower, and entertainment center w/rotating TV that our Minnie (Winnebago Minnie 2201DS)incorporates, but we don't have the couch. And, I do like having the smoother outer walls after having a Sunline TT that had the aluminum siding as they're easier to clean. But...the aluminum siding keeps the cost down and certainly works well. Starcraft also uses the older design slideout which keeps the slideout floor on the same level as the main floor. The Lippert slideout on our Minnie elevates the floor of the slideout. After having both systems, I prefer the design of the Starcraft. To be honest, if we had seen the Starcraft when we were looking, it may have been on our short list and the outdoor kitchen may have been the only big reason to go with the Minnie. But the Starcraft strikes me as one of the best designed trailers I've seen in the smaller trailer market.

How many people will be using the trailer? I ask that because trailers of this size are really for two people (or less) unless you find a similiar model with bunks.

So, that's about all I can contribute. All I can suggest is that you look at as many different trailers as you can and think about how you plan to use the trailer. And, make sure that you have an adequate tow vehicle for whatever you choose. Based upon the dry weight and GVWR, you're looking at towing around 6,500 lbs. which makes it a good choice for a 1/2 ton pickup. The weight figures for the Starcraft and our Minnie are very close, and you can see that my unit weighs 6200 lbs. loaded minus food.

Good luck!

I like the floor plan for 2. if you have somebody sleeping on the sofa you would have to walk by them to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I get concerned when the specs don't mention the roof material, probably means it is rubber.
