Weight of truck and trailer

Hi for your information. Truck 19 Ford F 350 drw 4x4 6.7 8ft bed, king ranch.3.55 rear gears.60 gal fuel tank in bed.just about every
Options. GVWR. 14,000 lbs Weight steering axle 5160 lbs. Drive axle 4040 lbs
The weight are with 2 people in truck and all fuel tanks full.
Trailer 17 vintage living quarters/car hauler. Its a gooseneck
44 ft long,3 axle each axle 6,000 lbs 8 lug wheels.GVWR 18,000 lbs.
Trailer loaded for trip to California from Maryland.
Truck and trailer weighs Steering axle. 5360 lbs. Drive axle 13,400
Trailer axles 10,640 lbs. Pin weight 4,000 lbs.
Rides like a dream, fuel miles 10 mph. Hand figures truck said 10.1
Mpg so very close. This is at 2,000 miles in to trip. DEF so far
I can go about 5,000 miles on the tank,put def in once just to see.

You said “drive axle 13,400#”. You did not give loaded drive axle weight.

I believe you got your steering axle right.................................................... 5,360 lbs
I'm guessing you should have said your drive axle weighed ..................... 8,040 lbs
I'm going to trust that the sum of your trailer axles was as you stated .... 10,640 lbs
and I think you should have stated your pin weight to be .......................... 4,200 lbs

Anyway go ahead and post a picture of your car .... and wife along with applicable weights and measurements.:)

^^^ When I say I believe the gross weight of his truck is 13400 lbs I mean the sum of his loaded truck axles is 13400 lbs. His gvwr is 14000 lbs.... his gvw is 13,400 lbs.

He said his pin weight is 4000 lbs...... my bet is when he said his drive axle weighs 13400 lbs he meant the gross weight of his truck is 13,400 lbs. Drive axle is actually 8040 and pin weight is actually 4200 lbs.

When you hooked up the trailer you added 9,360 lbs to the rear axle and 200 lbs to the front axle for a total of 9,560 lbs. How is that possible if your pin weight is 4,000 lbs? It's not. Your pin weight is 9,560 lbs. You are 4,760 lbs over your trucks GVWR and you have capacity to move 7,360 lbs to your trailer axles. With some weight transfer you could even things out.
