Wet bolt suspension

How often should wet bolts be greased. We just had them installed last spring. We travel about 10 000 miles a year. Trailer has only gone about 2 000 since the suspension mods.

If the spring bolts were installed correctly, the hole in the pin will be located on the bottom so the grease will actually be applied on the wear side of the pin and bushing. As mentioned above, raise the coach up by the frame and let the axles hang, then grease the bolts. This allows the grease go where it is needed most.

That's the key.

Once a year for me.

I tow about 5000 miles a year and make sure I hit mine at least once a year minimum. Usually before a big trip. Randu

With an application like that, as Lynnmor said, every chance you get. I would think that if you do it before each trip, you'll never have a wear problem. At the least, I would hit them once a year.

Grease them every chance you get. The grease likely won't get to where its needed anyway. You see, the grease will flow out the unloaded side of the bolt taking the path of least resistance.
