When I first brought this up 15 some odd yrs ago, folks swore I was wrong. Then a fellow named wadcutter showed, a retired CVEO and told them folks they were wrong. One mod even tried to say RVs were different rules than commercial. He was told any over 10000 has to follow the same laws.
You will not keep yourself out of trouble, Murphy's law, just being under sticker limits.
IMHO, best people know good vs bad habits. There are a multitude rules and laws that will get an unsafe person off the road. ALL of them are moving violations, way the heck worst than being over wieght! Which is a non moving violation.
Oh the stories some of us can tell! Lol

12 pages and not one comment on "you'll lose your a$$ if you get in a wreck" comment. Unless I missed it, that has to be some sort of a record.
Oh where or where have the internet lawyers gone?
Oh where or where can they be?

OMG, youโre right!
Maybe we are making a little progress here! Lol
Yes, that is some progress for sure! I am still surprised at how many still firmly believe in stickers, that are there for Govt regs, in many cases. Maybe more do understand, but just for sake of discussion keep the ball rolling??

Some of ya'll worrying about weight ought to come down here to Texas and see all of the things being towed down I-35 to Mexico. You will burst a blood vessel.
You will have a mini van full of people and junk, towing a Chevy 1500(they love their Chevys down there) with the bed and inside full of junk, and behind that is a small Honda full junk. This is a common site heading down to the dear lease, and I will probably pass four or five of these caravans in my three hour drive.
Not once did I ever see one pulled over by the state troopers or in an accident. I did see many broke down on the side of the road though, but the cops just go right by them.
