Winter Trip to the West

We live in East Texas and for years have traveled to South Florida for January and February. For the first time this winter, we do not have a reservation at the RV park we have enjoyed all these years. We are considering traveling WEST this year to Arizona?? Southern California?? Dumb questions:
What are some good destinations? Is it warm enough in January and February to enjoy the trip? Any favorite RV parks that we could stay for several weeks? My husband loves to play poker. Any parks that have a regular game going??

I believe I've seen it posted on the bulletin board at Pueblo El Mirage that there's a regular game there. They're on the west side of Phoenix.
