That 805 is an all out FAIL. โTargeting the overlanding half ton crowdโ???
Roflmao. It looks nice but โoverlandingโ and full height shiny white full size tc and overlanding donโt really belong in the same sentence.
AND getting a full size TC with no bathroom is like ordering a new F250 without air conditioning. It just makes no sense.
it has zilch for water capacity (maybe useful to have more than 2 5 gallon buckets of water when youโre in the boonies, โoverlandingโ.
weight isnโt bad. For those who say itโs not suitable for a half ton, theyโre wrong.
Youโll have to beef up the suspension, just like most tc/truck combos unless going overkill on the truck.
And being a lance they probably are asking $30k or more new!
Itsa fail. Any number of 8โ campers Iโd select before this overpriced lack of basic features model.

And aside from the few rare, odd longbed reg cab 1/2 tons out there, itโll hang 3โ off the back of any 6โ bed class truck. And the jacks hanging down. Yup that just screams overlanding to meโฆ.lol

In reality, it will be too heavy for a 1500 class truck. Once you add the basic necessities like water, propane, battery and then your personal things like food, clothing, pots, pans, dinnerware, etc it will be well over 2,000 lbs and in a 2500 class truck range. Remember, many 2500's are limited to around 2,500lbs. I also am not a fan of the odd shelving versus cabinets. You can elect to go to just about any other Lance model for a few hundred ponds and get a much nicer camper.

Truck Camper Magazine has an article on the 805 that some might find interesting --
