Love it. Use the stovetop or the sink cover for extra counter space or we have bought a 4 foot long folding table for in front of the couch when we need extra table or counter space. Works well for us.Re: Unknown odor - what is it? where is it?Could also be smell from hot water heater. Drain & rinse out the hot water heater.Re: Rockwood Roo 2008 battery powerOpen the outside fridge compartment. Look at the right side for a tube running up. This is the vent tube. On this tube there are two wires connected. Between the two wires is a small resetable circuit breaker. Stick your finger between the two wires & push. If have have had no lights on the fridge panel & no light comes on when you open the fridge door then this is one of the likely fixes by pushing that circuit breaker. This protects the fridge for overheating if out of level for too long. Hope this works. Learned this from my own problems with the fridge not working. It's worked fine since then.Re: Considering an HTT. Where do I start my research? To answer your question about when the Roo's started using the arched roof it was about 2009. I have a 2010 233S Roo & it has the arched roof. It is a subtle arch not a dramatic one like some. We are previous popup owners (28 years) & still enjoy the tent bed ends. Other than an occasional noisy neighbor it can be fun at times to hear some of the night noises (coyotes howling, owls hooting, skunks or racoons rummmaging through garbage, the gentle pitter pat of rain falling.)Re: slide outsDon't have a 21SS, but looking at the floorplan shouldn't be a problem getting to the fridge or the bathroom with the slide in.Re: RV battery securityI bought 2 of the 6 volt battery box locks 2 years ago after I had my 6 volts stolen. The thief wasn't very nice. Cut the cables & left the battery box lids on the ground & stole the boxes. One of the boxes had my cut off switch screwed to it so the cost of that theft went even higher. I have now attached the cutoff switch to the frame so it can't be stolen again. The battery lock brackets shown in the links here have worked very well for me. I have been happy with them. I'm lucky as they are made locally so one of the RV dealers carry them.Re: Narrowing it down...would love experiences/opinionsAnother 233S owner here. One thing to consider about the outside kitchen is if it has a fridge it will only work on AC power & you said that mostly you are in non power sites so that is something to consider. There is only my wife & I, but she wanted the 233S because of the deep slide & the wide open front end that it has due to the deep slide & she also wants to take some of the kids & grandkids. 2 weeks ago we slept 8 in there comfortably.Re: A/C's in Hybrid Extendable Travel TrailersThe AC should work fine with gizmos & relectix. Just a note that there is a lot of difference in the heat in Vegas & NM that is dry desert heat than the humid heat in central Florida. Lot easier to cool dry heat than humid heat.Re: Axel maintenance and bearings?I did mine for the first time this year. Do not remove the tire! I did on the first wheel & I regretted it. I couldn't get the leverage to pull the seal with the tire off. The ezlube dust cover pries off like any other dust cover. Good luck. As far as the center rubber cover goes it just pries off. You might want to buy several to keep on hand. I had one tear in the center & it threw grease all over the outside of the wheel.
