I'm looking at a 2012 Freightliner M2-112 with the Detroit 13 Liter (DD13) rated at 505HP/1800TQ. Is anyone familiar with this engine? I'll be pulling a 20K fifth wheel camper with it. It seems that it will be plenty powerful enough for the mountain...
I use a "WIX Filters - 33123 Heavy Duty Spin On Fuel Water Separator" between the auxiliary tank and the main tank. To mount the filter I use "Wix Filters - 24309 Heavy Duty Filter Mounting Base". Both were bought on Amazon.

I have a 40 gallon RDS tank with gravity feed. I have a manual shut off valve and also a electric solenoid that controls the flow. The electric valve has a switch in cab and is wired to a "ignition on" circuit so it closes when the truck is shut off ...
