We use DeLorme Street Atlas. It's totally self-contained (doesn't need internet connection) and comes with a GPS receiver that plugs into a USB port on your laptop.

My 2013 Ram 2500 diesel has only the "Light Electric" setting, despite what the owner's manual says. I put new brakes on the fiver last fall, but haven't had the opportunity to see if they'll now lock up with near-maximum controller settings.
