I am for sure headed out June 1-30 from the central coast of CA to central Iowa. I am thinking of 80 going and returning on 90. I don't necessarily love highways though! I really want to see the country! So, from the Tahoe area to Nevada...Utah.....
Not only do they add lots of weight to your rig, they are expensive! I have had my rig for over a year (24'), and have used my yellow levelers 3 times...so easy! I would rather use my money for something important!
I have driven part of that route a few times. San Jose to Bakersfield...either the Bakersfield RV Resort or Orange Grove. I usually then go either Techahapi (sp?) or Grapevine to the KOA at Banning. From there it's an easy, but long, trip to Tucso...
