I don't know much about computers but I do believe that your IP address is assigned to your computer by your Internet Provider which identifies your computer for everything you do on the internet, including voting more than once per day. I could be wrong but I do believe it to be how Internet Protocol works and I don't believe the IP address changes, please correct me if I am wrong.
Most home computers use dynamic, or changing, IP addressing. The address is assigned to the computer every time it is logged in. So if you shut down or the computer goes to sleep, it has to reconnect and the IP address assigned will be different from the previous session. A static, or unchanging IP address would only be absolutely necessary if your computer is hosting an Internet site, or perhaps for a VPN, but that wouldn't affect the rest of the world, so to speak. Static IP addresses almost always are NOT available on a standard home hook up, and are at least an extra cost (and largely unnecessary) option.
Thanks Joel, I had a home business hosted by my computer and had a fixed IP address so this is where I thought it was a permanent number. Glad someone knows more than I do. Fulltimegrams22

Artist Lee Mitchelson was commissioned By Dr. Doug to paint Old Fella's portrait to be displayed as a memorial to him. The Portrait will be on display at the Burke County Public Library with a short biography of his life. What a beautiful painting as Lee has captured not only the image of Old Fella but also his spirit.
