The tour operators can only except (honor) a certain number each day, otherwise they will be losing a lot of money........so yes, check with each vendor to see if you can use your coupon on the day you want and then make reservations.....

Those coupon books have become very popular.....

You can now get the Toursaver Book electronically. Available for iPhone and the same price as the paper book.

We used it in 2005, 2009, and 2013 and never had a refusal. However, we did always call ahead and make a reservation a few days in advance.

The only problem I experienced with the Tour Saver was difficulty on the flight seeing options at Talkeetna. Takes more advanced planning and then potluck on the weather. Other than that, we never had a problem.
