You are likely to find traffic heavier north of 285 than south. All the trucks coming off 285 and heading north will be coming in, plus the construction going on for several miles. Go early and don't mess around. Sunday will be the best time

Went from I-20E to I-75S last Sunday at 11am. No issues. Northbound I-75 looked pretty packed as the spring breakers were headed home. I believe that was the peak weekend for returning, although there are still some down here. Even if you lose a hour, it's really minor in the long run. I find ATL to be much less frustrating than MIA.

Just a guess but 1/2 of the people I work with in MI are on spring break in FL. Sat could be real heavy coming back north but would guess Sunday may be close to normal depending on how many wait until the last minute to get back. Randu

I went on the webcam at 10th street and I-87 I-75 last Sunday at 2:30PM and traffic was moving at the speed limit. I will be going straight through in a week on Friday night or early Saturday.

Traffic is generally heavier than normal on 75 inside the beltway from downtown to 285, because they are routing traffic onto 75/285 that would have gone on 85. But Sunday is probably not gonna be as big a deal as a weekday anyway. If you do decide to go around the bypass (285) take the west side - I think it is a bit shorter than the east side.

But not having anything to do with the I-85 collapse, there is a ton of construction on 75, from 285 northward for 15 miles or so that will have an effect on your drive too.
