We are traveling from Flagstaff to Kanab. Is it better to travel 89 to Page and then Kanab? We originally planned to travel 89 to 89A to Fredonia and up to Kanab because we had read that portions of 89 were closed. We are pulling a 28 foot tow behind travel trailer. Thanks for the info!

89 from Page to Kanab is a lot of desert.

89A gives you views of Vermillion Cliffs, red rock, the river and finally, the pine forest.

We prefer 89 unless you cam be at Lee's Ferry when the whitewater boats put in in the mornings.

The bridge, dam & Lake are NOT to be missed. One of our favorite RV parks in the nation is Wahweap Marina on the lake.

Both are scenic. It's a tough decision. On Hwy 89A there's Navajo Bridge and Lee's Ferry area shortly after 89 and 89A split. Then you'll climb a mountain up to about 8,000ft at Jacob Lake in the pine trees, then descend.

Via Hwy 89 there's Page and Lake Powell. Horseshoe Bend overlook, Antelope Canyon, Glen Canyon Dam. Do you have any time to stop and see these sights?

Both roads are very doable in any RV.

89 is fully repaired and open. Either route is OK.
