Bloomfield, NM to Albuquerque

26 Class C with Nissan Frontier as Toad. Is this road steep?
Words of wisdom from any of you that "have driven" this road.

If you are heading to the Jemez then you can turn off on to NM 126 (some dirt and some paved road with twists) just south of Cuba, NM to get to Fenton Lake State Park and over to NM 4 to Bandalier Nat. Mt or Los Alamos Nat. Lab. You can also cut over on NM 96 (all paved two lane good road) just North of Cuba to get to Abiquiu Lake via the north edge of the Jemez Mtns.

126 can be a challenge if there has been rain recently but with your C you should be ok. Call the Santa Fe Nat. Forest at Phone: (505) 438-5300 if you want to check on the road condition.

No we've been over near Taos and over to Pagosa Springs and plan to stop for a week to rest at Navajo Lake SP (NM) and just want to get down to at least Jemez Mtns before we stop to play again so will be fast descent.(55mph)LOL

Couldn't find a Bloomington, NM on the map? Did you mean Bloomington, MN or Bloomfield, NM perhaps. If you meant Bloomfield, NM up by Farmington, HWY 550 is an easy drive down to Albuquerque. There isn't a lot to see but high desert but that has its own beauty, The Chaco Culture National Historic Park is really nice but it's a long gravel drive from 550.
