Colorado Road infor headed to Ridgway SP

Hey, is US 69 from Walsenberg, Colorado North to US 50 a good road for a 34 ft 5er and dually? Headed to Ridgway State Park this Saturday

CO Hwy 69 is closed between Red Rock Rd (5 miles west of I-25) and the Custer County Line. Road is open to local traffic only.

It is closed due to the Spring Fire which is currently 107,000 acres and 75% contained. They did reopen US160 yesterday or the day before.

As has been said the route is fine - BUT - be sure to come back a different way - iMHO every road in colorado will give you something to look at or remember.

Yes, thats a good route. BUT...u'll be missing most of the best Colorado. If time permits I'd go Rt. 160 over to Great Sand Dunes Nat'l Pk. stay a day to see that. than 160 over to South Fork and up over the mountains to see the Lake San Cristobol area. Absolutely wonderful. On over the pass down to u'r original route to Ridgeway. At the St. Pk, there are 2 camping areas. Above and below the lake dam. If U have a choice, I think below dam camp is nicer. While in the area make sure to do a day trip to see Black canyon of thee Gunnison. One loop of their campground has electric and sites big enough for large rigs. Each site is nicely private.

Yes it's fine we went by there not too long ago.
