Evanston to Rock Springs Overnight Parking Spot

On the way to Cody, we would like to stop for the night somewhere between Evanston and Rock Springs. Thinking Little America would do but parking next to running 18 wheelers isn't my favorite.

Just need a level area with room to extend the slide.

Hit and miss type thing in Little America. Most of the time truckers are away from the car parking area. We stop there all the time. As you are pulling in go into the parking lot on left. Park almost at the end. They have pretty good food. Also 50 cent ice cream. If no kids eat in the bar. Same menu. However, buy your gas in town of. Rock Springs at Flying J it will be cheaper. Always check weather before going over South Pass. Dial 511 or WY web site for weather. You may not have cell service until Rock Springs. Slow long climb going into South Pass. Will be steeper going down into Lander.

I pull along side green grass area and open my slide over that area.

Looks like there's a rest stop at Lyman. highway 413 south exit.
and there's another rest stop/city park at Green River, down on the river in town.
