Has anyone been on 95 south to I-10 from Las Vegas to Phoenix. I was thinking about taking 93 all the way to Phoenix, but then I saw 95. What would be the better route?

We live in Vegas and have traveled both ways many times.
If you like to get in the RV and DRIVE take 93 to Kingman and on to Phoenix.

If you want to see scenic - Old Rt 66, Needles, Colorado River,Lake Havasu and stop along the way 95 is great. We usually go from Parker to 60 and hook back up with INT 10 into West Phoenix.

Our Rig is 20 years old- well maintained and a V8 460 FORD. The flatter the road the better. 95 is the best and we actually take AZ 95 (not to be confused with US 95) out of Needles to 60 and then Parker Dam.

What ever you choose have fun. Happy Rving.
Never RV with anyone crazier than you!!

93 is generally the faster route. Quite a bit of it is still only 2 lanes. While its all good road it is known to be one of the deadliest highways in AZ. Mostly due to people passing without enough room on the 2 lane sections resulting in head on's. Most days 93 is fine but on holiday weekends I instead take I-40 to Ash Fork then south on 89 thru Prescott (Use bypass to go around Prescott traffic) to I-17 and into Phoenix. It's about 40 miles further than 93 but mostly interstate so not much more time wise. More scenic and stays in cooler climate much of the way.

If taking 93 then it might be beneficial to use 74 south of Wickenburg to cut over to I-17 although this depends on where in Phoenix you're heading. This avoids traffic as 93 becomes Grand Avenue in Phoenix.

If you want to see some of the Colorado River and Lake Havasu, take 95 to Parker and then 72 to 60 east into Wickenburg. Then 74 east into Cave Creek I-17. No traffic issues and good roads. This is 340 miles.

Hwy 93 is very good, also. Just depends if you want to 'do' Havasu. Taking 93 and ending at the I-17 & Hwy 74 is 275 miles.

Where are you heading in the Phoenix area.

X3, X4 etc for 93. Very good road. Also you do not have to go into California.

It is also about 30 miles shorter.

US93 has a new bridge, bypassing the slow drive across Hoover Dam. LV to I40 it is divided.

Just took 95 from Las Vegas to Parker AZ, staying on the CA side and NEVER again. Rough road, lots of truck traffic and construction on I-40 with traffic at a crawl. Came back on 93 and it is 100X better road than 95.

Make certain to fill up in Vegas. Gas is tough to find on 93, but it's good road.

Take 93 out of Las Vegas going over Hoover Dam to Phoenix, good 2 lane road all the way.

either road is good enough, but 93 will be a bit quieter until you get past Wickenburg.

It will add miles to your trip. It's all two lane and can get pretty busy. California side has been repaved from Needles to Blythe, but has allot of dips, and can flood if it rains. Taking 95 on the Arizona side is better roads, but you have to go through Bullhead City and Lake Havasu. Probably take you an extra hour or more.
