Are there any RV friendly (diesel) fueling stations in the Jackson MS area? I am roughly 74 feet long so I have to plan ahead, lol.

Thanks,

Jeff

According to the POI list I have, there is a Pilot & a Petro off of I-55/20 Exit 45; near South Gallatin Street and a Flying J and Love's using I-20/I-55 Exit 47 on US Hwy 80 East as well as a Capital Fuel Center also off of I-20 exit 47. These don't have Jackson addresses, they are Pearl & Richland, MS addresses, but they are in the metropolitan area.

Let me put in a plug for POI Factory online. You do have to join, but there is no charge. From it you can download all sorts of POI's for fuel stops, rest areas, campgrounds, etc. which you can then load into your GPS and perhaps its associated route planner. That is where I got this information.

I have not used any of these fuel stops, so I cannot speak to their quality and ease of access. For that you can go to Google Maps to check out their reviews as well as an overhead satellite picture to plan access and egress.

Pilot and FJ both off I20. Pilot may be easier access depending on direction you are traveling. Also, several places (also cheaper) on US49 headed south out of town.

Look for truck stops or fuel stations outside the immediate city area. Like any city, traffic is horrible, and packed. Amd just remember that in Mississippi, the drivers test is how straight the furrow is.

We came through Jackson, MS during the week of Thanksgiving this year, towing our 41 foot 5er. Um... we fueled up before getting there, even though we didn't need it yet, and when we drove through Jackson, we just kept going! I wasn't about to get off the interstate for anything.

Check the Pilot/ Flying J website. There is a Flying J located at 685 Highway 80 East, Pearl, MS with RV lanes available. This is in the Jackson, MS area.
