We are leaving Big Bone Lick State Park and headed for Mt. Gilead state park. How is 275 around Cincinnati? Looks like 71 has some co struction to avoid. We would hope back on 71 once we get around.

Major construction on I 71 thru Columbus. From approximately 90mm to south of state fair grounds. Major backup all day everyday. Last summer we took beltway east going north and west when returning.

Thanks for the replies. We ended up taking 275 because of a wreck and construction. No problems. We have decided to take 71 through Columbus though. We are not big city drivers but think we will be fine.

Always go right through. The 'Queen' isn't that big and traffic only gets heavy during rush hours.

Both I 75 and I 71 thru the city have construction. There are some narrow lanes to deal with. Some construction north of I71/I275 north till you get past Kings Island. Runs well though.

Also some construction where I275 and I75/71 connect south of city.

I have not been on I 275 east of city for quite a while but there was some construction on the east side for a while.

Just took I 275 west to and from airport with only a very short lane restriction in Indiana.

It has been a few years (in-laws moved back North), but we always did the same through. Drive at a comfortable speed, keep to the right and have a navigator help with the signs.

We have travelled I75 through Cincinnati many times on our way South for the winter, back North in the spring, and always went straight through instead of taking the bypasses. We have never had a single problem doing that way. The bypasses add a lot of time and miles to the trip.

We did try the West bypass one year and did not have any problems but it is a long way around! I don't remember what the road was like or how the truck traffic was since it was so long ago. Probably not much help but is the best I can do right now. Good luck. ๐Ÿ™‚
