Grand junction co. To vernal Utah via highway 139

Can any one comment on the road condition. Or maybe suggest a better route. Thanks for any information.

Thanks for all the good information. The pictures were great also the list of sites to see will come in handy .will be stopping at all the interesting places along the way. I love this forum. My wife not so much about the time she gets use to the changes I've made to the camper I find a new ones to add.

Northbound, Hwy 139 has Douglas Pass (8268'EL) at MM35. The descent from the summit is 3 miles of 7-8% with curves.

Good road, narrow shoulders, little traffic, some ups and downs but it follows the river and stays in the valleys.

You can see my response in the earlier thread. CO 13 is easier but less scenic and further out of the way between GJ and Vernal.

If you do go CO 139, check out the links I gave in the previous thread.
