I-95 road conditions from fla to del.

this snowbird is headed north this sat am, the 15th from so. fla.

any unusual or problem areas that i should know about? the road construction link on here doesnt work any longer

As noted in a post I put up the other day, DRBA is working on the I-295 South/I-95 South interchanges and ramps on the west side of the Del Mem Bridge. Although your slide up and over into NJ should not experience a BIG disruption, just be aware that, at the usual times (12:01 AM to 11:59PM) the whole shebang there can be tied up with looky-loos and gapers. If you decide to do the 301 North route, there are NO problems with US 40 East to US 13 North to the bridge, so long as you're aware the ramp from US 13N to I-95 SOUTH is closed - don't let the 47 gazillion orange and white traffic cones scare you.

Wave as you go by. I can see the Bridge towers from my 2nd floor windows.

The bridge (northbound) just before the Emporia exit is the roughest 100 ft on the whole of I95.

This is good information; however, I suspect there's little chance that the original poster was at all considering a drive through New York City on the way from Florida to Delaware. :B

Just drove this route (NJ to SC) a week ago. No significant problems with construction. Chrisathebeach may be right about the SC border and her suggestion on rt 17 is very accurate. We do, however, avoid the Petersburg Va - Washington DC area on 95. We leave 95 at exit 46 to take I 295 around Petersburg and Richmond. We reenter 95 north of Richmond until exit 104, then take rt 207 to US 301 North. 4 lanes almost the whole way until we take Rt 896 north to I 295 to the Del Mem Bridge to go into NJ. Don't know where in Delaware you will be going, but pretty sure you can get there leaving 95 and going 301. Not necessarily faster, but much less hectic for us. We have a 32' Class A and a toad. Safe travels.

For the past few weeks I95 turns to a parking lot at the state line entering South Carolina. The road goes from 3 to 2 lanes. Everyone that wintered in Florida trying to get home to do taxes.

If you encounter slow traffic as you cross the river, get off at exit 5 and take a left over to US17, it will parallel I95 all the way to exit 33 and will save you some time.

Not sure about beyond there.
