Jacksonville Fl to Toledo Ohio

One way takes me up I95 to I26. Then over on I40 to Knoxville picking up I75. This takes me through Cincinnati. The other way takes me I95 to I26. Then I77 up to Columbus Ohio where I pick up I70 over to I75, missing Cincinnati. The Cincinnati way is slightly longer but the time is about the same. I'm a grandmother traveling with 2 grandkids, first time traveling alone, well not alone but only driver. Any information or advice about either route would be helpful.

Why not take 10 across FL over to I75 and go straight up to Toledo. Much faster than going up 95.

X2, time it so you go through Atlanta during non rush hour. Also if you don't want to go through Cincinnati, and can't say as I blame you, take the east loop around, may be a few more miles but I have seen I75 back up from the river to north of Evendale more times than I could count, and there is almost never any traffic going around.

Thanks I looked into those options and the one from 270 going north on 23, 15 to I75 looks like a good way to go.. Rockhillmanor I did a google search and it didn't mention I65, did you mean I64. I have a Garmin GPS it should pick up the trail when I turn onto 23.

From Columbus, 270 around Columbus on the East Side, Go North on 23, 15, to I 75. This is all 4 lane road and will save you at lest 75 miles. No reason to take I 70 to Dayton.

Another option is to take 33 off of I 270 to Wapakoneta, and then North on I75.

A Third option is to take 33 to 117, to I 75 in Lima.

All much better options that your I 70 to I 75.

I try and avoid I-40 at all costs bad road conditions when wet, dangerous fog conditions on the low sides and long stretches without a lot of places to stop. I also don't like going thru downtown Cincinnati. That's why "I' don't take that route.
