Wow, that is a hassle during a rainy/snowy year -- the other route (41) will require a long slow twisty trip on chains at high altitude. We used 140 for the first time last month and were pleasantly surprised. But at the Arch Rock area, DW looked up at the cliffs above and commented, "Gosh, there sure are a lot of huge loose rocks poised right over the roadway!!"

After they get those rocks cleared and repair the road, they might need to do some work on that talus slope, too.
