Muskegon State Park(Michigan) early stay

Just back from an early trip to check rig. Only camper there until last day. Everything worked well. Great hiking.
It's good to be back out again!

Some snow left, but OK on the trails. Still glad to have trekking poles! Hard ski ice on the east trails.

Any snow left in the woods? This weekend would have been perfect to go out for me. One of my favorite nearby boondock sites is accessible already, alas I have work to do that needs to be done on a weekend.

Tip for everyone, esp those out of state, who complain about how hard it is to get into Ludington State Park, now's the time! Drove through there yesterday, over 100 sites open, only four campers, Cedars loop is fully open.

Electric only, dump station gate is locked, bathhouse is locked, water is turned off, Beechwood loop gate is locked.
