New to RVing was wondering is New Yearโ€™s Day (tomorrow) a good day to tow 5th wheel down I-95 to southern FL or should I wait until the 2nd to avoid traffic.

FWIW we just drove thru Phoenix AZ this morning at 8:00am, which is peak crazy time for that city. Being today is NY's Eve the I-10 and I-17 were flowing beautifully with none of the usual stop-and-go traffic. I can assume all roads will be like this today and tomorrow around the country as most folks aren't going to work.

Yes, go on NYD. Avoid today and Saturday and Sunday.

The 1st would be a good day to travel. I'd avoid Sat and Sun tho.

From Va south, at least into Ga, I would think it will be just another day. Fl could get a little busier due to the higher numbers of Grandparent visitors going home.

Some folks may be off work or sleeping in late so could be quiet on the roads...
