Hang on now, it was the Canadians who sent air crews to fight the wildfires in Alaska last year while Washington sat on their fannies with their assessment that "ice doesn't burn".

The last year we went to Alaska it was one of the driest summers they had and we were never bothered by mosquitoes. One recommendation is to stay out of deep forests. Stay where a breeze can hit you and you'll be fine.

Now, if you go to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan - beware.

If it's all the same since we are finally on the way. Just give our share to one of them other people. Since I'm from Texas we normally just rope and brand the number on the left rear leg. Even heard a few may have jumped the border and headed north. If you see'm you get to keep, free and clear title.

Alaskan moskies are uniquely American - they've successfully interbred with the Stealth Bomber.
