Place to park - Boston Ideas??

Looks like we may have a conference this fall in Boston. Normally we take a western tour during this time but now it has me thinking of changing things up and incorporating an eastern trip. So what I am looking for is a campground/place to leave the truck and camper where it will be safe while I attend the conference and stay in the hotel for say 4 days downtown Boston. Thanks for any ideas and suggestions.

Its been a long time, (like 40 years ago) but I was in the Navy aboard a ship for about 4 months at Boston's south annex. We got around on the subway/rail system (now the MBTA). Most of the stations had parking lots for folks that commuted. Crowe may be able to get you headed in the right direction. My memories from back then are foggy, but I remember that parking downtown was impossible. I don't imagine that its gotten any better. You may be able to commute from the RV park to downtown and back on the MBTA. If you're staying in a downtown hotel for the conference, you only have to make the trip once in each direction. Driving in downtown Boston isn't for rookies.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Be careful, parking may be limited this fall due to open areas being used to store snow from this (January) month's blizzard. It has happened before.

Unless we get a LOT more snow this won't be an issue. Last year was an exceptional year. A good portion of this past storm's snow will melt this week as temps are to be in the upper 30s/lower 40s.

We stayed at Minute Man and took the Red-Line (MTA) into Boston Commons.

In 2009 we stayed in the Boston Minuteman RV Park. Its about 30 miles from Boston and is a very nice park.

You would be welcome to park your truck camper at my business for a few days, and take the train into Boston. Its about 1 to 1-1/2 hours into Boston, 15 minutes to the train station.

Most motel/hotels will have a place for big rigs

Very little of that in Boston. It's mostly garage parking with 7 foot clearances. However, depending on where the hotel is located there may be an outdoor parking lot nearby. Once I know the hotel I can give better advice.

We used to transport buses throughout the country. Most motel/hotels will have a place for big rigs, contractors with trailers etc. Of course we stayed at their business.

Thanks everyone. Once I learn of the hotel, I will see if they can accommodate the TC.

Have you checked to see if the hotel's parking can accommodate your truck camper? That seems to me to be the simplest approach, and perhaps even reasonably economical after you take into account whatever it would cost for public transit or a taxi to get from where you park to where you stay.
