I took the coast road up from Parksville to Salmon Point this time - nice, slow drive. I usually maintain a constant 62-65mpg both here and in the states. That is a comfortable speed when traveling down the road with 40,000lbs/18,181.81818181kgs strapped to my back.
Oh, really like that gas at 1.269 per gallon...

Come to my land (beyond the great Mountains... from where the great ball of fire rises) set up Tee Pee and we can raid the local Flyin J for 0.979 per gallon... :W

Try to stick to 110 km on highways.
Going slower is going to irritate other drivers and causes people to take chances passing you.
If you try 110 km/h on the Alaska Highway, you likely won't have an RV worth keeping after your trip. I don't mind passing RVs going 50-70 km/h, although last week the fellow who swerved into the middle of the highway to avoid a frost heave in his lane just about knocked my Honda Fit into the ditch as I was passing him. :E
