We are currently in Haines and will be headed to Skagway tomorrow. We've been traveling in Canada and Alaska since May 11 and are having a wonderful time. We've had a mix of good and bad weather as well as good and bad roads, but overall, it has been wonderful.

We have been posting to our blog as internet has allowed. Below are links to the various posts. You can check out individual posts or start with the first and walk through them all. Hope you enjoy.

Thank you all for taking the time to look at our blog and to post a comment.

2gypsies - Thank you. My husband gets the credit for most of them.

soos - we had a similar experience on our drive over Top of the World, only in our case it was smoke blocking the view. Unfortunately we did not get the chance to drive it again in clear weather. Maybe someday...

Rbertalotto - I am not sure I would want to do the trip on a motorcycle. The dust and bumpy roads must be rough. On the other hand, we have seen many people on motorcycles and on bicycles and they all seem to be having a great time.

PA12DRVR - We really enjoyed McCarthy and Kennecott. Your family is lucky to have property in such a beautiful place.

To the OP...wonderful posts/photos/reports.

Really enjoyed looking at your photos of McCarthy/Kennicott. My extended family owns quite a bit of property in the area....one of my nephews is in the "Marching Band" picture and I'm 90% certain that my SIL is in the Ma Johnson's picture.

The Denali Highway picture of the old cabin on the Brushkana really brought back memories....I went along with my old man on a hunt from there WAY back in the day...used to be owned/used by one Mr. KS.

We did Denali Hwy twice last year in our TC because the first time the fog and rain was so bad we didn't even realize there were mountains!
