Leaving next week for a 7-week trip through the NE, and have a Vermont routing questions please.

2022 F450 towing a 36' 5th wheel (16K lbs)
Lots of driving experience, even in mountains.

Going from Jelly Beans RV Park (Brasher, NY) to Dolly Copp Campground (Gorham, NH), and RV Life avoids VT Hwy 58 from Montgomery to Orleans. But it looks a lot shorter.

Anyone have a reason not to go 58?

Thanks!!

VT 58 is scenic and hilly. BUT it’s narrow blacktop becoming an even narrower winding dirt road not suitable for towing through the Hazen Notch section. Not sure where you are entering VT, but the best route for you would be Route 15 to West Danville where you would pick up US RT 2 all the way to Gorham. You will see some great mountain scenery all the way.

Thank you so much!! That’s the info I was looking for!!

Def don’t want to end up on a dirt road!!

Entering VT at Alburgh, so I’ll do as you suggested and catch 15 to Danville.

Looking forward to seeing your part of the country!!

Thanks again!!
