We recently returned from a trip South. We kind of meandered across VA. and we will be returning for a more in depth trip concentrating on the Blue Ridge Region.
We passed many many interesting looking side roads that in my mind would be worth exploring.
It seems that every house has a standard green street sign designating their drive. How do I differentiate a low use town or county level or a public use area road from a private drive? I do not want to be the D Yankee that drives into somebodies dooryard!
This problem is not specific to VA.,I have been unsure in other areas also. I do know that in some parts of the country a purple paint band on a tree or post serves as a no trespassing symbol.
