We are planning a trip to Utah in July with our young grandkids and would like a place that will be "cool' with fun things to do. does anyone have any ideas? We have a 5th wheel and would like a campground with full hookups.
thanks

Living 25 miles or so south of Tucson I am not sure how you define "cool"! 🙂

Would suggest Torrey, UT for Capitol Reef NP - says an average high of 80 on July 15th. Lots to do around the area. We stay at Thousand Lakes RV Park and really love it - but have not seen a lake anywhere near them!

We enjoyed Jourdanelle and the grandkids will love the beach at Bear Lake. :C

If you are looking for cooler weather then Bear Lake is a good spot. The State park has full hookups.

If you are looking more for fun activities for the kids Cherry Hill in Kaysville is close to Lagoon amusement park. It can also be used as a base for day trips from Brigham to Salt Lake.

Utah has changed the state park reservation system, they now only allow reservations to be made within 4 months on your arrival date at the state park.

Reservations are strongly advised for state parks and most private campgrounds in July.

Jordanelle State Park near Heber City has full hookups and lots to do in the area, including Park City. Dinosaur Nat'l Monument at Vernal is fun for kids but it would be hot. Have a fun trip!
