Where you headed for the Victoria Day long weekend?

May 17th to 19th is the first long weekend of the season here in Canada (for most of us anyway)

This is often the first real camping trip and a chance to dust of the equipment.

So, share your plans.

We are headed to Pine Cone Campground near Sussex NB. It's a small cozy place but clean and well maintained.

Kind of a trip down memory lane for us as this was the first place we camped with our brand new hard top 20 years ago when our four kids were still kids. We still go there at least once per year and it hasn't changed much.

spent the long weekend in my nice peaceful back yard, no drunken lunatics to spoil my enjoyment of the the few minutes of nice weather.

May 2/4 was spoiled for me years ago, with the stupidity that is flagrantly displayed throughout our parks, its like the first snow fall and everyone forgets how to winter drive, only with camping.

We are heading out to Kentucky for 2 weeks of touring Horse Farms & Bourbon Distilleries and whatever else we can find.

We are going to fool everyone & stop at a town park far from any mountains. Hopefully when the crowd is heading out of the mointains we will be going in on sunday or monday. Thats the plan.

We are at our campout and they are expecting around 90 families to attend.

Headed up to Summit Lake BC and Three Island Resort for the weekend, lots of Fishing, Kayaking and Bike ridding in the rain it sounds like.

Heading out tomorrow lunchtime for Fishermans cove ( Kincardine,Ont. ) . Never been there before. May get some frost but we don't care ... 🙂

Mcrae Provincial Park in Orillia. Meeting the BIL there who will be on his maiden voyage with his new hybrid. I'm the support trailer;) Fingers crossed for the weather.

We get together with a brunch of friends and rent a fairground close by. We have a huge pork/beef/turkey barbeque. Then have a band come in to play country music. Sunday brunch all the guys do up the meal.
We do have 1 or 2 cold ones during the wekend.
