Advice for campgrounds in Northern Kentucky/Southern Ohio

In Orlando now and have enjoyed the last 5 days at Disney's Fort Wilderness. Unfortunately, our last 2 days (Wed and Thur) will be rained out due to a tropical storm coming off the Golf toward central Florida. We are going to mitigate the risk of rain and wind and head north towards Michigan later tonight.

We'd like to finish off our late summer vacation somewhere in Northern Kentucky or southern Ohio relatively close to I-75. Looking for suggestions for a full hookup CG that will be fun for our 3 little ones. A nice pool is always welcomed.

Avoid the Ark nothing educational about it. It is a tourist trap very expensive and a waste of money and time.

Read the book. it costs much less and has a 2000 year history to evaluate.

Plan on spending a day at the Ark near Williamstown, Ky., then spend the night at Big Bone Lick State Park,3380 Beaver Rd. Union KY 41091 ( 20 miles north). The next day drive to the Creation Museum at Petersburg, Ky., and then spend the night at Indian Springs Campground, 3306 State Line Rd. North Bend OH 45052 ( about 5 miles distance). Both of these are family oriented and educational.

I've heard Dayton Tall Timbers is good. Never stayed there but many have said they liked it.

We stayed at Big Bone Lick State Park near Florence KY. Very nice they have a Bison herd and really nice museum about Mammoths that were found there. They also have a pool and mini golf.
