Above Periwinkle Park Campground on Sanibel Island, Florida. I took this photo with my GoPro Camera attached to my remote control quadcopter. FYI, the bright red structure on the lower left is Dairy Queen ๐Ÿ™‚

How much did that quad cost?

The DJI runs around $500.00
B&H or Amazon sells them for $479.00.

Try a cheaper toy like one first.
I've crashed my Helimax so many times it's pretty frustrating.
At least the blades are cheap.

They aren't easy to control.

Your statement may be true for the Helimax, it is not true for the DJI Phantom. It is extremely easy to control.

What model Helimax did you purchase?

Pretty cool. Only makes me wish my annual February Sanibel migration was sooner!

Been there a lot, hiked the entire island, didn't know there was so many houses on it, I guess we stayed more to the beach side.

DJI Phantom with some modifications.

If you have a I-phone you can connect to your GoPro, I do it with mine. How much did that quad cost?

No! the transmitter/receiver is a 2.4GHZ frequency, the iPhone has the same frequency and could create issues causing the quadcopter to fly away with no user control. There are after market kits that will allow you to control the quadcopter with an iPad. All it takes is a bit more money.

Nice picture. The island looks a lot bigger from up there.
