Best Parks near Birmingham Alabama

My DW has a doctors appointment at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and I was wondering if I could get some recommendations on parks in the area. We have a 37 foot Motorhome

Thanks for all the replies. We ended up staying at Oak Mountain State park and it has turned out to be a real gem!

Tannehill Ironworks State Park


We have stayed here several times and have enjoyed it.

Tannehill Ironworks State Park is one stop when we're in the area. Actually Hoover RV Park is our most desired, but it's closed till mid 2017.
