We are going to a wedding in 3rd weekend in May 15. Haven't been to Tucson in some time.
Looking for any good camping opportunities in the area.

Thanks Bill

If you are adventurous, there is FS land nearby to gain you some altitude and cooler temperatures, but looking at your rig it might be a challenge. The Rincons to the East would probably be your best bet if you are up to it.

We always stop at Picacho State Park when we are in the area, however, they only have electricity...water and dump station available but no full hook ups...

Catalina State Park would be great. They have electric. During the 'season' (Nov-March) sites are hard to get but by May folks are moving on. It will be hot so hope you don't have to wear a tux for the wedding. ๐Ÿ™‚ Have a good trip!

Cactus Country RV is on the far east side of Tucson, just off I 10. Nice place, shade, pool, full hookups, not overly fancy or pricey.

Boondocking - no way, it is way to hot in May.

You would probably spend more in fuel for the generator to keep the RV comfortable than it would cost to rent a space in a full hookup campground.

I would be looking to stay at the Escapee's resort in Benson. A little higher elevation and it should be cooler. The sites are normally about 30' wide and 60' deep. Escapees.com

If you have not heard of Escpaees before, they are a club worth joining. They are a wonderful resource for camping full time, and for finding boondocking sites.

Have fun camping!

Money can't buy happiness but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a
