We are looking for a campground on a beach prefer western FL panhandle area and west to Texas, anywhere in that coast this would be for Jan 2017. closest to water better.
Silver Slipper Casino, Bay St.Louis, Ms. has sites that are less than 100 yards off the beach. Only a 2 lane road separates the campsites and the beach.
2021 Ram Limited, 3500, Crew Cab, 1075FTPD of Torque!, Max Tow, Long bed, 4 x 4, Dually, 2006 40' Landmark Mt. Rushmore
Malaquite Beach on Padre Island National Seashores just south of Corpus Christi, Tx. A small entrance fee into the area and totally free camping on the beach. The beach is considered a Texas road and the first 5 miles down the beach can be driven easily with any vehicle. Beyond that you probably need 4-wheel drive for the next 45 miles. You can pick any spot you like and pull up next to the dunes and set up camp.
Depends by what you mean on the beach. If you want to see the ocean from your site none of the ones listed so far apply. If you are good with walking a quarter to three quarters of a mile to beach access the above listed campgrounds can't be beat. Camp Gulf in Destin is about the only one I'm aware of right on the water. It's crowded and ridiculously expensive.
