I've tried several searches for camping both Public Lands and Private CGs but no luck. We have two questions, first is it too late to look for sites with W&E for next year? Is there a favorite BLM or other Federal area around Havasu/

Wife wants to go and she is twisting my are really hard, I need help.

I also haven't been out that way for a while, but last time there I had some friends boondocking exactly where you're talking about. Is this balloon thing going on now or the near future? I ask because I have been there in the winter, and it can get super cold.

Thank all of you for the suggestions. I have tried all those but nothing in any of them about how the RV.NET community feels about places there. Camorhino, I'll look that up on Google Earth and call the District Office.

Once again Thanks.

Lake Havasu State Park is the nicest in the area.
Not sure if any spots are available for the balloon fest, but give it a try.
