It's a busy campground, but it's a pretty nice one. It does lack shade - it's very open. Great for big rigs - there are a LOT of them there. We go every year in June and last year (when I was having toy hauler envy) there were tons of tri-axle 40+ foot toy haulers and huge class a's in there. The bay is awesome for the kids - they have a 'wipe out zone' of soft floating climbing stuff and my kids LOVE it. The bay gets about waist deep depending on the tides, and there is a huge sandbar that you can go out on and hang out for fishing or clamming. The pool is very nice, albeit small for the campground size, but we've always managed to have a good time in it. We don't drive into Ocean City for true beach, we drive to Assateage Island. I think it's 15 dollars for a full week pass, and it's a wonderful beach (no lifeguards), with nice parking lots. The toilets are outhouses, but they do the trick. There are showers to rinse feet and chairs off before you get back in car. The ponies are almost always around on the beach and often walk right down through the masses of people and get in the water. You do have to really watch them with food laying at your towels etc, because they will absolutely take a bag of Doritos out of your hands, and they aren't above snarfing a box of wine. Don't ask how we know this.
All that said, we really like it there, and prefer it over Frontiertown, which is right down the street.
