Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel Area

Does anybody know the name of the motel & Camground that is right at the toll booths on the Delmarva end of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel?
This not the Kipoteke(sp?) State Park campground.
I have driven past the motel quite few times. It always seemed empty, but there is a campground behind it that is a short walk to the shoreline of the the bay.
Trying to find out who owns it and how to contact them.

After trying the website for Kipoteke(sp?) State Park every date I enter into their on line reservation form is already "taken".
Trying to find something available at the motel/campground.

Sunset Beach, I think that is the name. It rings a bell now.
Thanks for the Cherrystone tip.
It is Sunset Beach. they just added more sites which according to the website are now available. In the past, they rented all their sites by the season only from May through September and a lot of RVs were left on-site all year, but they did do daily rentals of vacant sites from September-May.
Safe travels!

When are you wanting to go? We have been to Kiptopeke SP a number of times. Usually sun-thurs. Never made a reservation.

The last time was last year, a day or so after Sandy went by. We were the ONLY ones in the park.

I think I will have to try and contact them directly.

I used the online reservation form and no matter what dates I put in from now until Nov. it came up as unavailable.

I would not sweat it. Don't know what is what with the reservation system. Never used it. We may be there for a couple days late sep too. 9/22-23. There or Shad Landing Never been there. Either one should have plenty of space. End of season just about.

If you go with the satellite view you will see the motel, yes it is the round one and blue I think, just south of Kiptopeke right above the toll booths. The campsites are behind the motel right near the shoreline. You can see the campsites when you zoom in close.

I wish I could remember the name but I can't. We stayed there four times all together but suddenly on one of our trips south, it was a few years ago I called for a site that night. We were told they no longer rented sites but were a seasonal/membership park or something like that.
I was a nice stop over for one night but no more.

Sher
At that time we had to make the reservation at the motel and check in at the motel which was rather run down and a little seedy.

Darn.
Thanks for that info though.
