We are bringing the family to Disney world during spring break in March the only camping loops available are 16,17,18,19 does anyone know what loop would be best? Or even a site in those loops? Any advice about this trip would be helpful.. There's so much conflicting information out there I'd like to get information from folks that have stayed there.

To answer which loop. We prefer the 1700 then the 1600. They are closest to the bus stop.

Definitely don't eat lunch that day if you can help it. The chicken and ribs are really good. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hoop-de-do-review, at Fort Wilderness, is definitely worth getting reservations for! It is a lot of fun.

I confirm that "Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue" is worth a visit and requires a reservation. By that I mean don't wait until the last minute to reserve your seats and you may want to do it ASAP.

To prove how "worth it" it is, we made our reservations for seven people exactly 180 days out to get the best seats possible. $502!

But I was glad to do it. We'll be there December 14. :B

For those now balking at the price of admission, keep in mind it does include a good all-you-can-eat dinner and a fine show by talented performers. Why, the wait staff even danced onstage with our deserts before bringing them to us - strawberry shortcake!

Don't forget that also includes beer & Sangria and also soft drinks

Those loops are pretty equivalent. They are about halfway between the boat dock for the Magic Kingdom and the bus loops for everywhere else. They aren't far from the Meadows where the swimming pool and trading post are. I think sites there may be larger than nearer the boat dock.
I feel that loops are generally equivalent unless you have something specific you want. Most of them have one or two problem sites, but Disney is good at fixing problems unless they are completely booked.
Disney internal transportation is good, may be slow sometimes, except when the parks close each night.

1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900 loops are all Full Hookup sites. All 4 loops are in one large area of the campground. Full Hookup sites are just fine with us. Now that all loops have Cable available, it really doesn't make a difference. All sites have some level of sand with Full Hookup sites having the most. So if sand is a concern, those loops might not be for you.

Site size throughout the Fort varies. In the 1400 loop (one of our favorites), which is a Premium loop, there are sites that are smaller than those in the 1600 - 1900 loop and there are a few sites in the 1400 loop that are tight getting into.

Spring Break is our least favorite time to be at the Fort. Too darn crowded and the parks are way too crowded for us. There is no Disney Magic that time of year, especially towards the end of the Spring Break season.

We've stayed in multiple loops. Unless your staying right up front by the lake, they're all more/less the same.

Last time we were there, though, we could absolutely not get into our site. It was plain awful, just no way to do it. Fortunately, we were traveling with friends who have a much smaller camper and since we were there first, we just took their site.

The restaurant at Fort Wilderness is good. Last time we were there was October 2011. They have a chicken takeout dinner that is excellent, and a lot of food. Great for bringing back to the campsite.

Hoop-de-do-review, at Fort Wilderness, is definitely worth getting reservations for! It is a lot of fun.

The carriage ride at the campground is surprisingly good, especially in the evening. I know the "haunted" carriage ride in October is fun for kids, I don't know about other times of the year. A little expensive, but everything is.

As posted earlier, feel free to keep asking questions!

Not sure what conflicting information you're getting, but all of those loops (1600-1900) are fine. As noted, they are all full hook-up and pet-friendly. We've stayed at Fort Wilderness dozens of times going all the way back to the 1980s (including twice last year) (and we're headed there twice in 2017, once by ourselves in February and once with the grandkids in April) and we've never had a bad site. The loops you mention are at the far end of the park, but the shuttle bus system is excellent, or you can bring bikes (which is a ton of fun--all of out kids rode their bikes everywhere), or bring a golf cart, or rent a golf cart (expensive).

If there's something in particular where you're trying to resolve a conflict, let us know. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry--you'll have a great time.

I'm guessing you mean 1600,1700,1800 and 1900 loops. They do not guarantee sites but you can request a certain loop. Spring break is a very popular time of year for the Fort so you might have to get what you can depending on what type of RV you have. All four loops are full hook up sites and are pet loops.
