I hope they didn't make room for the bigger swimming area by reducing the size of the sites! They are already to small!

The local state parks are both quiet and have decently sized lots. They're cheaper too.

When I make a reservation at Ocean Lakes I do so with my eyes open realizing this is not a campground with massive, large sites. We understand the sites are not wide & deep....but we go there to enjoy the beach and other things Myrtle Beach has to offer. We are retired so we do not go to Ocean Lakes during the summer months but totally enjoy October.

When we were there around Christmas and booking future dates they were not taking reservations in the J Section past Labor Day 2015. They said something was coming but could not divulge. Last summer it was speculated they were going to tear down the old Jackson house behind the current pool to build this expansion. The additional water activities will be awesome. Way to go Ocean Lakes.
