Hi All, we are planning a trip to Fort De Soto over the July 4th weekend for 4 nights in our pop up. Does anyone recommend a site in area 2? We plan on bringing our 4 leg child(yellow lab "Fred"). Also, does anyone know and recommend a Vet to board "Fred" on Monday July 7th for one night. We plan on visiting Busch Gardens that day.

Thanking you all in advance.

Here is what Busch Gardens Tamps has on their web site:
If you are bringing your pet on vacation, Busch Gardensยฎ Tampa has staffed, air-conditioned kennels to watch your pet while you enjoy the park.

The kennels are located outside the main entrance and are staffed from park open until park close. The cost is $10.00 per day ($9.00 for Pass Members - excluding Fun Cards). Review Park Hours for information on opening and closing times.

Park guests are required to bring pet food and to walk their pet (dogs only) during the day. You may bring a blanket for the pet's comfort. Please have a copy of your pet's shot record and updated rabies tag available when you drop your pet off. Kennels cannot be reserved in advance.

Can't be much easier that that.

As modern family mentioned make sure you book a site as soon as possible with that 6 month window, as it's a very popular park. Pinellas county residents have a seven month window.

Busch Gardens has kennels on site. They are even air conditioned!
I can't get the link to work, but google it. It comes up under SeaWorld/Busch Gardens

Make sure you having the boarding arrangements finalized before departing. Many vets and kennels will not accept a new client without vet records and certain shots.

We like site 133 or 134. They are quiet sites that back up to the water. Also convenient to the bathrooms. We actually like all the sites right in that area, but if I remember correctly those two have the best water view. A friend of ours lives in some condos near there and takes their dog to Bay Moorings Animal Hospital. I believe they board as well
