My cousin winters at Upriver RV Resort (it is N. Fort Myers), likes it well enough he has been going back to the same place several years now. I don't know why this particular one, but I do know he brings a boat and several motorcycles.

I almost forgot, you may have already thought of this. It is getting pretty late to be booking "prime" time stays in some of these CG's in the SW Florida area. You will find that many spots have been booked or spoken for since early 2014.

As you can see from some of the initial responses, some folks on here have never been to Fort Myers but they apparently graduated from HS and like showing off that fact.

I agree with soricobob that Gulf Waters would be a good one to check on. Depending on how long you are staying and what site you get it will be anywhere from $1,600 a month to a little more. Keep in mind that they include electric no matter how long you are with them. We are booked there for 4 months this winter.

Siesta Bay and Indian Creek are close to that same area and owned by the same parent company. Their prices are similar and at first seem lower than Gulf Waters, until you actually start adding in all the extras they charge, then you will see there is not much difference.

These 3 are all within a couple miles of beaches and about the same distance from Sanibel.

If you venture out onto Rt. 41 you can find a couple other CG's that are a little cheaper for extended stays. We spend the extra to be within biking or walking distance of beaches.

Good luck and have a great winter!

How do I justify $2000 plus per month for MH space rental? For that kind of money I want servants and pampering.

Try Gulf Waters RV Park. It's on Summerlin, before the bad traffic, and has plenty of room.

You didn't have time in the 4 days last year to check out other campgrounds in the area?
